We were all going on some kind of vacation or class trip in a grand and speedy RV—we were on our way to the airport. Our crew stopped at a fast-food chain, I believe it was burger king. I noticed several of the employees looked deathly; I’m talking like they looked worse than Gollum from lord of the rings. One individual moved so slowly and frailly, the breeze of a customer walking past him, I swear, would have knocked him over. His skin was light brown, the whites of his eyes were yellowed, and his eyes were the palest, eeriest baby blue. Large blood vessels streamed under the thin skin of his face. After exiting the restaurant, the monster followed me. I was frightened but I flattered him by talking with him. He moved like a zombie, he was so scary that I cry as I write this. I was moving toward the bus to grab something that I’d left. I jumped and flew down flights of stairs as the man slowly and gracelessly stumbled behind me. While opening the door to the bus, he touched my hand and someone screamed, “you touched him, you touched the untouchable,” then he tripped & slid down a gravel slope at the edge of the parking lot as I quickly floated back into the restaurant to relay the story to the others. I almost felt fortunate to escape him, but also empathetic for his demise. I went into a back-room with some friends and employees of the restaurant, (the employees) all seemed to be physically or mentally defective--- one laughed from her big heart as I re-told of my encounter, then she said, “it is part of our mission to employ those who are suffering from terminal illnesses. They believe working here is stress relieving and therapeutic, and they are able to interact with those who have similar conditions.”
Needless to say, I felt embarrassed and dumb-headed. The frightening man returned to me in a dream, he was healthy, happy, and well.
